The challenge : Create a standard reusable tray
In a context where minimizing plastic waste has emerged as a global imperative, food companies must innovate to provide packaging solutions that bolster the circular economy while upholding high standards of performance and industrial compatibility. Florette, Les Crudettes, and Sodebo, three leaders in the industry, have chosen to embrace this challenge by partnering with Knauf Industries, an expert in packaging solutions, and the consulting firm RESET, which specializes in the circular economy.
The R3PACK project aimed to create a reusable tray that fulfills the criteria of a circular economy while seamlessly integrating into the production lines of the three manufacturers. The goal was to provide a standardized, shared, and customizable solution, thereby minimizing the environmental impact of food packaging.
